READY, MATCHING SET, GO

Matching sets have been around forever. From active wear to party wear we have seen celebs rocking this trend. They are simplistic yet it looks like you have your life together, I mean your whole entire fit goes together perfectly. There is almost no styling involved and you still look easy for the summer. Matching sets are perfect for the summer because they are easy and effortless while being super cute.

Here we see a purple satin oversized set paired with a black cropped tanktop.

ALL THE PRINTS

Animal skin is back! We have seen animal prints be a huge trend in the past, however, in recent years the prints have faded to the background as other trends got their shine. This year we have seen ALL animal prints step back into the spotlight. All prints from cheetah to snakeskin to zebra are a HUGE trend right now.

These are just some of the many designers who have incorporated Cheetah print into their runway looks.

EYE CATCHING NEON

For spring we have seen celebrities rocking neon colors. Wearing neon colored clothing automatically takes your outfit up a notch and makes it look more trendy. I predict this trend will continue to grow for the summer months. Nothing pairs better with neon than a good tan.

Here we see Haily Baldwin making the basic street style more trendy by wearing it in a lime neon green.

THE RETURN OF SCRUNCHIES

Scrunchies were once all the rage. They were seen a lot in the 90s. This trend then faded. For a while, people had switched over to thin hair ties that could barely be seen on your wrist or in your hair. People, especially college women, have recently brought back scrunchies because I think we realized we were missing an opportunity to accessories.

OVERSIZED PLEASE

At one time wearing less clothing was considered more in the fashion industry. Wearing less clothing and showing more skin was once a trend. However, recently we have seen many influential people in fashion wearing clothes that are actually too big on them covering more of their body. Oversized fashion at one time was considered not trying/ caring about what you are wearing. Now this effortless look is seen constantly from runways to street style.

Layers. Layers. Layers.

Layering is not something new, it has been used in fashion for years and years. I have seen this trend used heavily on my campus lately in multiple different forms. Layering is essential in the winter months on the east coast because staying warm is a priority.

A recent layering trend is a turtleneck with an oversized t-shirt over paired with a jacket.
